APRS Web Services

Automated stations that answer back — send a message from your radio, get useful information in return.

These are message-based "bots" that listen on APRS-IS and reply to APRS messages sent to their callsign. You'll need a radio or app capable of sending APRS messages — address your message to the bot's callsign the same way you'd message another station.

CWOP Weather

The Citizen's Weather Observer Program stations report real-time conditions across the network. Query the nearest CWOP station through WXBOT by including its station ID in your message.

Also on the network: SOTA and POTA activators frequently self-spot over APRS, and the same messaging path can relay short notes to other operators anywhere the network reaches — handy when there's no cell signal in the field.
